EXPEC is introducing an optional Helium Saving Module for the EXPEC 3700 and EXPEC 3750 GC-MS platforms.

The module works with the instrument’s digital EPC gas-control system to automatically switch the carrier gas from high-purity helium to high-purity nitrogen during idle periods, reducing unnecessary helium consumption without changing the normal analytical workflow.

In a typical scenario with 8 hours of operation and 16 hours of standby per day, combining the carrier-gas saving mode with the helium-saving module can:

reduce annual helium cost by more than 85%
extend the use time of one helium cylinder by more than 7×
reduce cylinder changes and dependence on helium supply
