Lightweight, intrinsically safe portable THC detector

EXPEC 3100 Intl is an intrinsically safe, portable field analyzer for total hydrocarbon (THC) measurement, VOCs source tracing, emergency response, and LDAR monitoring of unorganized emissions in petrochemical facilities.

Overview

EXPEC 3100 Intl is an intrinsically safe, portable field analyzer for total hydrocarbon (THC) measurement, VOCs source tracing, emergency response, and LDAR monitoring of unorganized emissions in petrochemical facilities.

Features

• Dual FID/PID technology
• Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
• Lightweight: ≤3.7 kg with dual detectors
• Built-in EPC hydrogen control
• Intrinsically safe (IECEx)

Introduction

The EXPEC 3100 Intl VOC Gas Analyzer is a portable, intrinsically safe instrument designed for THC determination, leak detection, and emergency response. Configured with a Flame Ionization Detector (FID) as standard, with a Photo Ionization Detector (PID) optionally available, it responds to virtually all VOCs and common inorganic gases on-site.

The analyzer serves diverse applications including U.S. EPA Method 21 compliance, LDAR programs, site remediation, fugitive emission surveys, and source tracing in petrochemical, refining, and chemical facilities.

With tightening global regulations—EU 2024/1787, Canada SOR/2020-231, and Asia-Pacific national mandates—it meets the growing demand for reliable, portable detection.

An integrated EPC system with temperature compensation guarantees steady flow and consistent performance from -20°C to +50°C.

Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable seamless connection to an explosion proof handheld controller running the dedicated LDAR APP for real-time data logging, route management, and cloud synchronization, eliminating post-monitoring file transfers.

Weighing only 3.7 kg with dual detectors including the cylinder, the compact design fits into a standard laptop backpack. Certified IECEx Ex db ia IIC T4 Gb and compliant with EPA Method 21, the analyzer ensures safe operation in hazardous areas (Class I, Zone 1) with robust corrosion-resistant construction for harsh field conditions. Our comprehensive global support and service solutions are available to ensure long-term reliability and low total cost of ownership.
